At F1rst Class Training, our coaches bring a wealth of experience and a shared passion for developing young athletes both on and off the court. With backgrounds in Division 1 college ball, professional play, and competitive coaching, they understand what it takes to reach the next level. Each coach is committed to instilling discipline, resilience, and a strong work ethic in every player, emphasizing not just skill development but personal growth. Their goal is to push athletes to exceed their own expectations while providing mentorship and support at every step of their journey.

Coach Stix is the visionary and Program Director of F1RST CLASS, a premier youth basketball organization committed to developing athletes the right way, both on and off the court. With a passion for the game and a heart for mentorship, Coach Stix has built F1RST CLASS on a foundation of discipline, development, accountability, and faith.

More than just a coach, he is a teacher of the game. As a dedicated skills trainer, Coach Stix takes pride in helping players sharpen their fundamentals, elevate their basketball IQ, and build confidence through intentional, detailed training. He believes that true development goes beyond highlights. It is about mastering the basics, understanding the game, and competing with purpose.

A St. Louis native, Lomont has built a strong reputation as a dedicated coach, mentor, and leader, guiding athletes from middle school through high school, including a successful tenure at Hazelwood Central. Throughout his coaching journey, he has emphasized discipline, consistency, and competitive excellence, helping players grow not only in skill but in character.

Now serving as Assistant Director at F1rst Class, Lomont brings that same passion, intensity, and relentless work ethic to developing both athletes and coaches across the program. He is committed to building confident competitors who understand the value of preparation and teamwork. His philosophy is simple: “You may be more skilled, but you will never outwork me.”

Jada’s basketball journey began at age 6, leading her to play Division 1 ball and compete professionally. She starred at Memphis and Arkansas State and represented the Puerto Rico national team at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Now, she’s passionate about helping players fall in love with the process of greatness, believing that embracing the grind is key to reaching their full potential.

Alexia, a St. Louis native, has played basketball since she was 6 and competed in college for four years at Blackburn and Missouri Baptist. She emphasizes the importance of confidence and faith, advising players to stay focused and believe in themselves, because a strong mindset is the key to success both on and off the court.

Jarrett grew up with a passion for basketball, playing every chance he got and always striving to improve. During his high school years at Parkway Central, he became a standout player, averaging 27 points per game his senior year and surpassing 1,000 career points. He went on to play at Barton Community College on a scholarship. Today, Jarrett’s mission is to help young athletes reach new heights in their basketball careers as the coach for the 17U team.

Alfred Carey

Lead Trainer

Alfred Carey developed his love for the game by playing club basketball in St. Louis before becoming a key contributor at Hazelwood East High School. He continued his basketball career at the collegiate level, gaining valuable experience that now shapes his approach as Lead Trainer at F1rst Class. Dedicated to player development, Alfred emphasizes discipline, consistency, and accountability, encouraging athletes to work hard in structured training while also taking ownership of their growth outside the gym.

Steph White

Coach/Skills Trainer

Steph has been passionate about basketball his entire life. He played at McCleur South Berkeley, now known as STEAM Academy. With a dream to coach at a high level, Steph now serves as the assistant varsity coach at STEAM, where he helps young athletes develop the skills and drive needed to excel in the game. His dedication to the sport and his players reflects his lifelong love of basketball.

Who wants to get stronger?

As Operations Manager, Camus plays a vital role in ensuring F1RST CLASS Training runs smoothly and efficiently. While no longer serving as Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, he continues to bring the same leadership, structure, and commitment that have always defined his work. A N.A.S.M certified personal trainer, dedicated husband, and father of six, Camus has a longstanding history of mentoring athletes and previously served as head trainer at the Emerson YMCA. His experience, integrity, and passion for helping others remain central to the culture and operational excellence of F1RST CLASS.

Cross Keys Middle School

Cross Keys Middle School is home to some of our most challenging sessions. With extended training hours, this facility provides ample time for both foundational skills and advanced game-time strategies. Players will be pushed to test their limits and grow both individually and as part of a team.

Redman (North County Recreation Complex)

MICDS (Mary Institute and St. Louis Country Day School)

At MICDS, athletes have access to premier facilities where they can sharpen their basketball IQ through scrimmages and advanced drills.
